History

Medomak Veterinary Services was founded in 1988 by Dr. Laurie Howarth. The practice was begun in order to provide veterinary care for small animals and to provide farm call care for horses, sheep, and goats. At that time the practice was largely run out of two small rooms in the back of Dr. Howarth's home. In 1991 the large animal part of the practice was discontinued in order to concentrate on the growing number of small animal patients and their owners. Construction on the new clinic began in June of 2001 and opened on March 1, 2002.
In December 2017 Dr. Howarth sold the practice to Dr. Arthur Charles who, along with his wife, Dr. Bailey Gage look forward to providing the best, most compassionate veterinary care possible. Dr. Howarth continues to work here part time. We look forward to continuing this tradition with the help of a dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled staff.
